Mechanical Engineering 101
Mechanical Engineering 101 is a course intended to further the engineering skills and knowledge of aspiring STEM students and engineers. The course will delve into the intricacies and details of different mechanisms/robot subsystems and teach students how to use computer-aided design software (Autodesk Fusion 360) to create their own. We aim to provide students with hands-on learning and train their designer's minds to prepare them for future engineering endeavors in the Vex Robotics Competition.
IQ to VRC
In this intensive robotics course, aspiring students and enthusiasts will embark on a transformative journey from the foundational VEX IQ platform to the exhilarating world of VEX VRC. We’ll delve into the intricacies of VRC game design, explore safety protocols, and master the art of effective teamwork. From building robust robots to strategizing for high-stakes tournaments, participants will gain the skills needed to thrive in the competitive VRC arena. Whether you’re a seasoned VEX IQ veteran or a curious newcomer, join us as we bridge the gap and elevate our robotics prowess. Let’s build, compete, and conquer together!
Code Collaboration
This course is designed to provide a foundational understanding of GitHub, VSCode, and C++ programming, with a focus on applications in robotics. The structure ensures a balance between theoretical knowledge and practical application, suitable for beginner to advance learners.
Course Duration: 10 hours Course Format: 5 sessions (2 hours each, split into 1-hour lecture and 1-hour lab)
